Soular anatomy is the study of the structure of the human soul.
The soul is the ethereal and mostly-intangible part of the body responsible for maintaining the self. It is housed within the soular plexus.
The soul is made up of three major components: the soular bulb, the soular tether, and soular adhesive. The part where the soular bulb transitions to the soular tether is called the soular neck.
Is this real? You can't prove it's not! (…actually you probably can, but shut up, science nerd)
The largest component of the soul is the soular bulb. It is comprised of the soular shell and the soular nucleus. The soular shell protects the vulnerable soular nucleus from harm caused by spectral impacts.
The soular tether is the tail of the soul. It contains soular pathways connecting the soular nucleus to the body at the soular plexus. If it had a physical form, it would look like a flame with the flame cone bending around and reconnecting at the center of the body.
Soular adhesive is the semicorporeal substance that binds the soul to the body.
The soul resides in the soular plexus. Merriam-Webster defines the soular plexus as "the pit of the stomach, specifically: the part of the abdomen including the stomach that is particularly vulnerable to the effects of a blow to the body wall in front of it", however this dictionary uses the alternative spelling "solar plexus" when defining this term.
